Colophon
Construction
Built with Astro and prerendered to static HTML, deployed on Vercel. Source is atesrabot/web.
External data — repository statistics, video listings — is fetched at build time rather than in the browser, so pages ship as plain HTML with no client-side data fetching. A scheduled rebuild keeps that data current without anyone running a build. Where a source is unavailable, the affected section renders without it; no figure on this site is a placeholder.
Typography
Set in IBM Plex Mono, an open licence typeface, with the system sans-serif for running text. The design was drawn against Berkeley Mono and Houston Mono; those are commercial licences, so the site ships an open substitute from the same lineage of documentation faces.
Colour
The field derives from FED-STD-595C 36495, by way of the ESRA brand grey. Text contrast is enforced in CI: every text-and-surface pair is composited and measured against WCAG AA, and the build fails below it.
Influences
The technical-drawing idiom, monospace labelling, and baseline grid owe to U.S. Graphics Company, NASA documentation, Dieter Rams, and the terminal interfaces of Bell Labs-era computing.
